The obd 2 codes used to inform the obd car system and the car owener that is something wrong with the car. Usualy obb ii codes are asociated with the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL). This trouble codes can be obtained with an obd scanner or code reader.
The obd codes are of three types:
- Type A are the most serious and will trigger on the first occurence of a car problem
- Type B are less serious and they will be triggered if the same problem occures two times
- Type C and D are non emission related and only C type codes can trigger the malfunction indicator lamp.
